Career highlights.

 

 

Don has been working in the field of psychology and providing psychotherapy since 1970.  He has been in private practice in California since 1973.

 

He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  He has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Psychology (both with honors) at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and two Ph.D.s, one in Clinical Psychology from Cambridge Graduate School in Psychology and one in Human Relations from Indiana Northern University.  He is also a Fellow in the Prescribing Psychologists Register, which requires extended training in Psychopharmacology

 

He is or has been a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association, the Los Angeles Psychological Association, the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

 

Don has also been an Instructor in Psychology at Citrus College in Glendora, CA and at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA.  When in New Jersey he was a clinical psychologist for Bergen Pines County Hospital in Paramus, NJ and the Assistant Director for their Alcoholism Treatment Center.  He is an Editorial Referee for the Journal of Studies on Alcohol, which is published by Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

 

Don has also been on the staff of several hospitals in California and served for a few years as the Counseling Consultant for the Hospice Team at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, CA.  He has also served as an Examination Commissioner for the California State board of Behavioral Science Examiners.

 

When time permits Don enjoys doing research and writing articles in psychology.  He has the following research and publications to his credit:
